ABOUT JONAH

Jonah Rosen is a photographer specializing in portraits and sports photography located in Central Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

 

His experience comes from both photojournalism and artistic backgrounds. His work combines his ability to document the moment with a creative eye to capture memories in his photographs. He currently works for Penn State Hillel and Penn State Stuckeman School as a photography intern in addition to running his own portraiture business, Rosen Photography. He worked for the Daily Collegian student newspaper as a photojournalist for three and a half years.

 

Jonah has collected numerous recognitions for his work. He placed nineteenth in the Photojournalism Picture Story/Series Competition of the 2019-2020 Hearst Journalism Awards Program for his photo essay “An Unlikely Teammate”. His photo of Illenium placed fifth in the feature photos category of the 2020 Associated College Press Photo of the Year competition. His feature photo of the Tibetan Buddhist Monks sand mandala placed as an honorable mention in the 2019 Student Keystone Press Awards.

 

Jonah is set to graduate from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a minor in photography. His career goal is to work full-time in an architecture firm while freelancing as a sports photographer on weekends. He hopes to continue portraiture work as well.
